Fabulous France! 6th August

We loved France!

We loved the beautiful lush Dordogne Valley with winding roads, castles, villages, thick woodlands and lush green fields.
The kids loved the castles and pre-historic caves where they learnt how cavemen lived, and they climbed through the cliff-side cities.
They loved the day we spent on the river in canoes, stopping for chocolate croissants and carrots along the way.
They loved the buskers and street performers in the historic villages - magicians, comedians, singers, musicians...
They loved the dogs... mammoth animals that somehow squeezed into side-walk cafes under their owners' tables.
They loved being able to run down to the camping ground store in the mornings for croissants and bagettes fresh from the ovens, on their own using their best "francais".
They loved Crepes for dinner. They loved staying out late walking home from dinner looking into the windows of the village shops.
They loved it all! But I'm not too sure if the French loved us....?
